Proper Meals at Proper Time...

BREAKFAST - LUNCH - TEA BREAK - DINNER

Now that it's the school holidays, my family have proper meals at the the proper times...
Breakfast is at 8.00am with something light and easy. We have "nasi lemak" or "fried noodles" or sometimes just a slice or two of bread with butter and jam.
Then it is "newspaper reading" time... Usually I have my morning papers early and the whole family share the New Straits Times and the Star. Each and everyone in the family must read the papers daily.   It's a MUST !! Only on Sundays will I have the Berita Minggu (a local Malay daily) in the house...
Then, it's cleaning the house, cleaning the cloths...
At noon, it's cooking time... My wife will cook everyday during these school holidays. And, this is the time, we as a family, have proper meals at the proper time... Lunch is at 1.00pm. All sort of dishes are made.. My wife is quite a good cook...

 Our Lunch today.....
Steamed local Mackerel  with lemon grass and ginger.....
Fried beef with oyster sauce and spices...
Fried bitter gourd with eggs.. and "kangkung goreng"....
And, of course, we have white rice..., Malaysia's staple food...

We take a lot of fruits after lunch... I make that a point to my kids.

Papayas, Mangoes, Pineapples.....
The "Kiwi" fruits from New Zealand, and the local Water melons...
Tea or coffee is served at 4.00pm, along with some cakes or cookies...
Dinner is at 8.00pm, of course with fruits as desserts....

It really feels good to have proper meals at proper times... And we can get it during the school holidays only!
School ends at 3.00 pm everyday and my kids have lunch at 4.00pm !!!!  How terrible... the time table of the Malaysian schools!!!  School canteen serve food at 11.00am and that's it. There's nothing left if you go to the canteen at 12.00 noon.......

Dear, Minister of Education: Can we all have lunch at 1.00 pm???
Have a nice day.....
