To blame Misbun Sidek for not getting medals is absurd...
I just cannot understand why officials of BAM came out with such a thing. And, today in the local newspapers, the public gave the negative views on Misbun Sidek too... Sighting not patriotic, self centered and so on... In addition, they are asking Lee Chong Wei to put country first before the coach..
WEI !!!!  Wake up !!!  Wake up Malaysians !!!!
I'll give you the stats:
1.  Misbun Sidek have personally coached Rashid Sidek to become the World Number 1.
2.  Misbun Sidek have personally coached Roslin Hashim to become World Number 1.
3.  Misbun Sidek have personally coached Hafiz Hashim to win the prestigious All England title.
4.  Misbun Sidek have personally coached Wong Mew Choo to win the China Open title.  This was quite an achievement because Mew Choo beat all the Chinese giants enroute to winning the title.
5.  Misbun Sidek have personally coached Lee Chong Wei to become the World Number 1 for a long, long period. No other player in the world have this record !!!
No other badminton coach in the world have such achievements !!! Name me one... MISBUN SIDEK !!!

It is sickening to read reports and "Letters to the Editor" in local newspaper condemning Misbun Sidek for leaving BAM and stepping down as National coach. So what?? He is not happy with the officials in BAM. It is the officials who are supposed to step down !! Get that?
To those wise guys who know nothing about coaching, keep your mouth shut !!! Who are you to comment? Do you have a coaching license? If not, shut up!!!

To Misbun Sidek, keep cool, Bro... Do what you have to do. We, Malaysian sports lovers are behind you all the while. You have done great to Malaysian Badminton and we really appreciate what you have done for the country. Forget about those officials and politicians who do know NOTHING about coaching...  You are the BEST, the VERY, VERY BEST, Malaysia have ever produced. You are a LEGEND... Just like TUN Dr. MAHATHIR !!!!

Even, Wikipedia salutes you Misbun Sidek:
