Lunch and Shopping in Satun, Thailand..

We did not plan it...
At about noon, my friend, Ed, phoned me and asked to get ready in 5 minutes. I was loading some photos in my Facebook account at that time, so I logged out and Ed was waiting in front of my house with his family, in his car.
I put on my shirt and..., we were on our way to Satun - some 60-70 km from my home town, Kangar.
It was about an hour's ride from Kangar, with those stops at  border checkpoints and some winding and bumpy roads. We reached our preferred restaurant called the "Kalae" restaurant. It's in front of the Satun's Post Office. Easy to remember, easy to find...
As usual, tomyam was our top of the list. We ordered grilled beef, a speciality here. Of course, we had omelette, sontam, and also another variety of the tomyam - the white tomyam. Ed loves this one....
After lunch, we shopped at the Tesco Lotus, on our way back.

cooking oil is 42 Baht (RM4.20) per kilo
laptops are cheaper here compared to in Malaysia..
water melons..
cone cups...
 pickles...
 this one is special...
ah.., the ever smiling cashier...
we saw this game on our way back - Man Utd vs Man City - at Satun. I guess Man Utd wasn't satisfied with their 6-1 defeat to Man City last weekend, so they opted for a rematch in Satun... Anyway, Man City won this game 3-0, he, he....

We went back home at 5.00pm, and reached Kangar at 6.00pm.
Have a nice day....

Kami walk-in aja. Ada no. telepon pun susah jugak.., depa tak faham cakap Melayu atau Inggeris. Lebih elok, pi saja dan harap2 ada kosong..
Di Ko Phetra tu ada resort/chalet. Pantai dia tak luas - tapi boleh mandi rasanya. Tengok air dia OK je.. Tapi, Koh Lanta lagi best..(kalau nak mandi laut).

Have a nice day..
