SMEP Teachers From Nakhon Si Thammarat.

120 SMEP (Science Maths English Program) teachers from the province of Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand, paid a visit to SMK Derma yesterday. They came in 3 buses. It's their field trip.
The purpose of the visit was to learn from Malaysia how PPSMI is carried out. (SMEP is Thailand's modified version of our PPSMI).
These teachers were then taken to classes and labs were they were briefed on how Malaysia carry out the PPSMI. Fortunately, SMK Derma still carries on with the PPSMI. Unfortunately, the SMK Derma students were having their mid-year exams at the time of their visit. So, one of the SMK Derma teacher, Mr. Lee Kean Yap - gave the briefing on how the PPSMI is carried out (see photos below)...
